Check out why this small Electro and Co ETM RTR is the next biggest thing in dirt bike fun, and why it’s been named the perfect pitbike by many riders!

Electro and Co ETM RTR: Made for Adults or Kids?

Electro and Co is a brand that believes dirt bikes should be well-designed, fast, and affordable. With this in mind, they got their start designing low-maintenance electric powertrain kits to convert your standard dirt bike into an electric powerhouse.

Fast forward a few years, and the ETM RTR was born. This is Electro and Co.’s first fully in-house design and creation of a complete electric dirt bike. Made with Electro and Co’s lauded 72v powertrain, paired with a high-quality in-house designed tubular steel frame, and top-end parts, this 8 kW hand tuned bike is ready to go.

Sounds great for any rider of any age, which begs the question: Is the ETM RTR made for adults or kids? The answer is easy: Both! We’re a team of fully grown adults and have spent countless hours ripping up a track on this bike. But, it’s also great for an older kid, or at least one who you can trust with 8 kW of power! Yes, Mom and Dad, it does have different modes, so you can dial this power down if needed.

To see how adults get on with this bike, check out this video of us putting the Electro and Co pit bike through its paces.

ETM RTR Powertrain

Battery

  • 72v25ah (with an option to expand to 45ah)
  • 8kW

The stock battery allows around 25 miles range. We found this range to be sufficient for an afternoon of spirited riding around a local track. If you’re looking for more, you can choose from the Electro and Co Upgraded Battery Pack, designed for either super high power or extended range for touring.

What sets this bike apart from other pitbike-style e-motos is the little things, like the seat is easily removable with a quick-release latching mechanism, allowing easy access to remove the battery. Swap to a full battery to keep riding for hours, or leave the battery in and charge at the easily accessible charge point.

Controller

The controller is an Electro and Co-designed TruMoto Controller. Paired with a responsive throttle for precise control, this is an advanced controller, fine-tuned for performance.

Motor

Powering the torque is the ETM IPM brushless motor. Its seamless power delivery allows for super smooth rides. The cool thing about the ETM RTR is Electro and Co know, even though it doesn’t need it, you’ll probably tinker with upgrades during the time you own this dirt bike. (Why? Because modding is fun!) They have designed this bike in a way that it is easily upgradable.

Frame

The purpose-built, hand-designed frame has been robustly engineered from the ground up. It is an Electro and Co-designed tubular steel frame with a removable subframe. It has a rigid swing arm with dirt bike axle blocks.

Its stylish, aggressive look makes this pit bike stand out from the others. It has also been cleverly designed to have fully customizable ergonomics, allowing the ultimate control in body position. While it is a small frame, it feels ‘normal’.

Why the ETM RTR is so popular:

  • Built for adults, but confidence-inspiring and thrilling for kids who crave high performance
  • Features real dirtbike parts – including race-grade, fully adjustable moto suspension, oversized axle bolts, and a reinforced swingarm for maximum durability
  • Powered by a torquey 72V system that delivers instant acceleration and seamless power delivery for its size
  • High-capacity battery is quickly removable and supports fast-charging to minimize downtime
  • Easy to assemble – typically under 1 hour for someone with average mechanical skills
  • Track-ready right out of the box – no upgrades required to start shredding
  • Performs great in stock form, but supports easy bolt-on upgrades for future modding
  • Offers precise handling, customizable ergonomics, and a well-balanced ride stance for optimal control
  • A versatile, purpose-built machine that blends power, agility, and durability for all skill level.

FAQ

What is the difference between the Electro and Co Kit and the ETM RTR?

Electro and Co started as a brand that made awesome conversion kits for MX bikes, such as the YZ450, KTM 65, and YZ85. These kits can be purchased so you can complete the conversion at home.

By controlling the design of the frame, suspension, and other components, E&Co can offer an in-house alternative to e-pits from brands like Surron and can fine-tune how all those components cooperate with each other.

For more information, check out the Electro and Co webpage. The kits are different from the ETM RTR, which is a complete electric dirt bike designed to be a cohesive package.

Do you need to build the ETM RTR?

Some building is required when you get your delivery. This is normal for any e-moto as it helps to keep shipping costs lower and allows your e-moto to be well-packed and protected. It is a very simple process, requiring only basic tools and knowledge. It does come with easy to follow instructions.

If you purchase from GritShift, feel free to call us at any time if you need further assistance with assembly.

How fast does the Electro and Co ETM RTR go?

The Electro and Co ETM RTR goes over 50 mph.

Is the ETM RTR good for beginners?

The ETM RTR is great for both beginners and advanced riders. This is due to the option to choose different power settings, and options to adjust the ergonomics, such as the footpeg height for smaller riders, and the moto-style suspension that can handle an adult rider.

Where can you buy the Electro and Co ETM RTR in the USA?

For those who live in the USA, the Electro and Co ETM RTR can be purchased here at GritShift. If you live in a different country, contact your local supplier or contact us to help you find your local supplier.

What maintenance is required on the Electro and Co ETM RTR?

Compared to a gas-powered pit bike, the electric ETM RTR requires much less maintenance as there is no oil or filter to change. Please refer to your specific user manual for guidance, but generally, maintenance will involve keeping the chain clean and lubed, forks clean, checking brakes with the occasional pad change, and overall checking for damage.
