What do we actually think about E Ride Pro?
E Ride Pro has possibly been the best company we’ve ever worked with. Hands down.
But what makes a company great to work with? If you’ve followed us for a while, you know we only put high-quality parts on our high-quality e-motos. And the reason is simple, we don’t just take these to the park. We send it off triples, and they need to hold up to the thrashing we give them.
However, just because a company is great to work with, what does that mean for our customers? The answer is simple. E Ride Pro staff listen, they hear what customers are telling them, and they make improvements. Fast. They clearly want to be the best in the industry, and because of this, they’re dominating the e-moto scene.
The crazy part… E Ride Pro has only been selling its electric dirt bikes for a little over two years. To get the full picture, let’s look at the short history of E Ride Pro, what they have in the works, and how they’re planning to ensure they’re always at the front of their industry.

Emergence of E Ride Pro
As you probably know, we’re official dealers for E Ride Pro, and I want to give you a bit of insight into what we see. We’ve been with E Ride Pro since its beginning, and seen all the ups and downs.
It all started with the release of an intriguing e-moto, the E Ride Pro SS 1.0, first catching our attention with its 72V system right out of the box. They were the first company to achieve this, but it wasn’t all smooth sailing.
The Genesis: E-Ride Pro SS 1.0
The E Ride Pro SS 1.0, released early 2023, is a 72V, 8kW beast – the most power offered in a bike of its size at the time. It was almost everything people were asking for in the burgeoning Surron and e-moto modding community, but the feedback wasn’t great on the fact that they added a turbo button. This turbo button boosted the power to 12kW for a limited time, leaving riders who had tasted more power wanting more all the time.
As it was put by our CEO, Bullet, “No one liked the turbo button.” A few other things were on the unimpressive side, but the turbo button was the big one. Having provided feedback like that to other companies in the past, we (and everyone else in the e-moto community) weren’t holding our breath that anything would come of it.
To the surprise of many – including us – E Ride Pro listened and acted fast.
They came up with solutions to our concerns, and they released the SS 2.0 only months after the 1.0’s initial release.
Looking good so far!
The Iteration: E-Ride Pro SS 2.0
The E Ride Pro SS 2.0 was a big upgrade from the SS 1.0, not in terms of power, but in terms of the subtle changes that E Ride Pro made to tie everything together. The biggest change was that the turbo button was made useless – Sports mode now delivered a constant 12kW of power at all times. No tease, just full power.
It was exactly what riders wanted.
Other changes included some cosmetic tweaks, like the front plate, but some of the other changes were so simple, it’s bizarre that no other e-moto companies have done it before. Take the front headlight for example. With the SS 2.0, riders now had the option to turn it off! Better battery connections, bigger forks, bigger rear tyre, better tunes and more made the SS 2.0 a refined model that was better in every way compared to the SS 1.0 that preceded it.
As die-hard enthusiasts who also happen to be e-moto dealers, the most impressive part to us was that those changes were made based on the feedback that E Ride Pro received from its customers. We haven’t seen this level of listening from a company before, and what they achieved in such a short turnaround shows they’re truly after becoming the best electric dirt bike brand on the market.

Lesser-known upgrades from the E Ride Pro SS 1.0 to SS 2.0
To give you an idea, did you know these were some of the upgrades made, based on customer feedback?
- Battery and BMS changed: 1.0 battery is always open discharge, 2.0 battery requires the communication port to be plugged in to trigger battery turn on.
- Ignition switch upgraded: The 2.0 has a 2-position key switch.
- Wiring harness changed: Complete wiring harness upgraded from 1.0 to 2.0.
- Turbo button changed: The Turbo button no longer provides a huge power increase, but still provides a slight performance increase via tune change.
- Throttle upgraded: Throttle upgraded to a dual hall sensor throttle.
- Firmware updates: Firmware updates have been released for the 2.0 for less common issues like overheating and ghost throttling.
- Fork and swingarm updated: With more robust components.
- Pulleys upgraded: Due to cases of the rear pulley welds cracking.
- Subframe upgraded: Increased inner wall thickness and added multiple rib lines for added strength.
Responding to the Competition: E-Ride Pro SS 3.0
The evolution of any good product usually involves making it bigger and better. E Ride Pro is no exception. When Talaria released the MX5, E Ride Pro responded with the E Ride Pro SS 3.0.
This 15kW e-moto is a powerful bike that will keep you ahead of most of your friends!
With a top speed of 62mph on the 2025 model, compared to 59mph on the Talaria MX5, the E Ride Pro SS 3.0 is an upgrade on the 2.0 in just about every aspect. Bigger moto–style brakes with thicker rotors, bigger 72V 50AH battery, and the SS 3.0 is the first E Ride to have an adjustable height triangle, “which E Ride copied from our design,” says Bullet.
Bullet is referring to the adjustable height suspension triangle that Rusty and his team designed. Here is the Heavy Hitter Adjustable Height Suspension Triangle part for comparison – it allows you to choose your height depending on what tire size you run and your personal preferences, all through use of innovative tokens, allowing you to shim up to 1” of lift. It’s very similar to what E Ride Pro now offers on the SS 3.0. Who’s the trailblazer now?
Anticipating the Future: Here Comes the E Ride Pro SR
So, what does a company that listens to its customers do when they know other brands will be releasing even more powerful bikes? They are ready to respond and release their new model at the same time!
This time, it was the announcement of the Altis Sigma that spurred the release of the E Ride Pro SR. Again we see the pattern of E Ride listening to the market and to their own customers, and cranking out something competitive in record time.
Here are some facts:
2025 Altis Sigma:
- Power: 97V 35Ah
- Peak Power: 22kW
- Weight: 194lbs
2025 E Ride Pro SR
- Power: 72V 50Ah
- Peak Power: 25kW
- Weight: 183lbs
Whichever way you look at it, here are two high performance e-motos! The E Ride Pro SR is aimed at riders who want to send it and push the limits, and who have a good amount of riding experience. But, you could argue, does an e-moto really need this much power? Make sure you subscribe to our newsletter community to be the first to know when we publish that article!
What will be very interesting is to see what the next models E Ride Pro are planning, but as each bike is released, feedback is quickly taken on board and injected into the next models. That is definitely a company that’s making waves!
The Full E Ride Pro Story
To be as transparent as possible, as much as we love the E Ride Pro range, just like all e-motos, with each new release came a few bugs. The E Ride Pro SS 1.0 had the most, from our point of view.
They missed the mark with the ‘turbo’ button, which did nothing but have riders give them heaps about it. Components were improved and strengthened, and the SS 2.0 was the result.
E Ride Pro makes improvements fast. They hear what is being said, and this business model is the reason behind their rapid success.

A company that actually cares
If you’ve ever bought an electrical item before, especially one that is a relatively big purchase, I’m sure you’ll want to know what the after-sales support is like. I know I’m always keen to buy from a company that will help if something goes wrong.
This is where we think E Ride Pro has really excelled. We get it, things don’t always go to plan, and on the rare chance that something isn’t working as it should be, E Ride Pro has the best after-sales support we’ve found, and that’s coming from a licensed dealer of many different e-moto brands over the years.
If you’re new to the world of e-moto, or buying any type of dirt bikes, typically you’ll find brands like ours at GritShift are the official dealers. We sell E Ride Pro on behalf of E Ride Pro. We’re also the point of call if you need any warranty claims resolved. What happens is, if a rider contacts us with a warranty claim, we’ll ask some questions, and perhaps also ask for some photos. We then take that information to E Ride Pro on your behalf. E Ride Pro then let us know how to move forward to resolve the issue.
E Ride Pro has always worked with us on getting our customers taken care of, and has been very reasonable with any claim.

What do we really think?
For a company that’s only 2 ½ years old, we think E Ride Pro is well on track to dominate the e-moto world. Not only do they create amazing e-motos, but they’re also a wonderful company to work with.
A few of us here at GritShift will be visiting the E Ride Pro factory in the near future, and let’s just say, we have some cool things planned. We’re not allowed to say yet, but keep an eye on our YouTube channel…
But what really sets E Ride Pro apart from other companies is their values. They have the same values as we do, and that is to provide the best customer care and the best possible e-moto and parts. Both our team here at GritShift and the E Ride Pro team don’t just work with motorcycles; dirt bikes are our passion, and where you’ll find us on weekends!
See you there!
