The E Ride Pro Mini has been described simply as a mini version of the E Ride Pro SS! But there’s nothing simple about it – it is a high-performance machine in a compact frame. With a power output that’s pretty much the same as the original Surron LBX and sporting the same top speed, this pit-bike-sized pocket rocket is set to be a serious machine! Let’s dive into what you can expect from this newest small e-moto.
E Ride Pro Mini: Why you need one
If you’ve ever ridden a pit bike, you’ll know they’re generally small, more toy-like than a dirt bike, made for ripping around in a confined area, usually underpowered, cheap, but still a heap of fun in a playful way. Now, replace toy-like and underpowered with today’s technology and E Ride Pro’s zest for high performance, and you get yourself a very exciting, compact e-moto that’s breaking free of the ‘pit bike’ status.
Even though it will be marketed to both adults and ‘younger generations’ – whatever your take is on that, don’t be fooled into thinking this is a kids’ bike. It has a top speed of 47 mph! E Ride Pro say the E Ride Pro Mini will come with two footpeg locations, allowing shorter and taller riders to be comfortable. It also has a 302 lb rider weight limit.
FYI, for the parents reading, for comparison, a Yamaha PW50 or Honda CRF50 tops out at around 35 mph.
The Mini is the perfect e-moto for those who want to have a good time pushing pit bike boundaries. However, I wouldn’t be attempting big jumps on the MX track unless you’ve done some serious modding, but I would give some of the smaller obstacles a go!

Midway through the video, Sur Ronster takes the E Ride Pro Mini up a large hill with a steep incline, check it out to see what happens… (spoiler: it makes it easy!)
You may be thinking, is this just another electric pit-bike? After all, you can get a cheaper option from no-name brands on Amazon… Let me put your mind at ease and quickly tell you about E Ride Pro and what sets them apart.
Who is E Ride Pro?
Established in 2021 and launching their first models in 2023 – the S and SS – E Ride Pro quickly became one of the favorites within the mid-sized e-moto scene. They were the first company to release a stock 72v e-moto with many features that most riders have to upgrade to on bikes from other brands like Surron and Talaria.
E Ride Pro prides itself on continuing to advance its products. They listen to riders and make upgrades to their bikes, releasing always-improved variants. Currently, the E Ride Pro SS is up to v3.0, and a higher-spec e-moto is also about to be released at the time of writing.
Here at GritShift, we can personally say these are some of the best e-motos we’ve ridden. Most of the team personally own one and spend hours on the tracks, enduro trails, and around town putting it through its paces.

Knowing that E Ride Pro wants to always be the best in their field, I have no doubt that the E Ride Pro Mini will quickly become the best pit-bike sized e-moto available. At the time of writing, the Mini will retail for $3199 USD, slightly more expensive than other similar-sized e-motos, but the one-year warranty proves E Ride Pro back their products.
E Ride Pro Mini Specs
The E Ride Pro Mini has awesome acceleration for something that is so compact! It does 0-30 mph in only three seconds! Plus, it can reach a top speed of 47 mph from the 6kW peak output motor. This is powered by the 60v30Ah swappable lithium battery, which can be charged to 90% in two hours. As I already mentioned, 6kW is what the Surron LBX outputs – and that’s a much bigger e-moto!
The Mini has adjustable sport suspension, regen braking, and weighs only 107lbs. It has been well-designed to be ergonomically pleasing to even taller riders. The bonus is, due to the smaller size, I’m sure you’ll be able to fit one in your garage next to its big brother! 😛 (That’s my plan anyway!)
Will it need upgrading?
If you’ve read any of our blogs or watched our YouTube or Instagram, you’ve probably worked out that we like to mod our e-motos. As of right now, we can say watch this space! Knowing how E Ride Pro works with riders to get the best product, it’s probably not necessary to upgrade this E Ride Pro Mini, however… when do we leave anything stock?!
I always like to think of modding like fine-tuning, making your e-moto, e-bike or dirtbike perfectly fit you. You will ride the best when you’re comfortable and everything is tuned to your liking.
